This course is designed to ensure learners have an increased understanding of the new Code of Practice concerning the Prevention and Resolution of Bullying at Work.

Participants will also develop knowledge of how to respond appropriately to bullying and harassment within the workplace.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

On competition of this course learners will also gain an understanding of the responsibilities of management to create and invoke a Dignity & Respect at Work procedure in line with the Code of Practice concerning the Prevention and Resolution of Bullying at Work

Develop a greater understanding of the meaning of bullying, harassment, sexual harassment.

Gain knowledge of legislation and the new code of practice surrounding bullying in the workplace.

Develop an understanding of the importance of dignity and respect in the workplace.

Develop an understanding of the pivotal role of the Nominated Person in altering bullying cultures and handling complaints effectively at the informal stage.

Learners will gain an understanding of the steps taken at the secondary informal stage in determining if a complaint can proceed to a formal investigation.
